Fox hunting could be on the way back in 2017 – if Theresa May gets her way - Maskell
While ordinary hard working families are worried about falling incomes, rising prices and losing their jobs, this out of touch Tory Government have yet to back down on a promise to repeal the fox hunting act.
Despite the 84 percent of the public not wanting a return to fox hunting, the Government has confirmed it still intends to hold a vote on repealing the hunting bill.
Commenting on concerns this could be the last Christmas the Hunting Ban is in place, Rachael Maskell MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, said:
“As some hunts meet on Boxing Day, it is absolutely clear that the British public do not want to see a return to hunting with hounds.
“Each year the polls show that more and more people are against this cruel and barbaric activity.
“The Tories must not try and sneak hunting back on to the parliamentary agenda when it is so clear that people up and down this country don’t support it.”
